History

Killymoon Golf Club is named after Killymoon Castle, designed in 1804 by John Nash and reputedly owned at one time by King George IV who won it on the throw of a dice. Established in 1889 Killymoon Golf Club is steeped in history and indeed was one of the founding members of the Golfing Union of Ireland and Irish Ladies Golfing Union.

Set in the historic grounds of Killymoon castle, our 18 hole championship course offers an experience for both seasoned & novice golfers. To compliment our superb golf course we have a well stocked professional shop to provide for all your golfing needs and practice facilities where instruction is provided by our PGA Professional, Gary Chambers.

The present parkland layout is a challenging and most enjoyable test of golf. Our new clubhouse was opened in 1989 by British Open champion Fred Daly.
